Updates on FAMLI’s Regulations
Chapters 1-5 of FAMLI’s regulations are now in effect and published in the Code of Maryland Regulations. The application window for employers who wish to submit their Declaration of Intent (DOI) will be Sept. 1 - Nov. 15, 2026. The total rate of contribution is 0.9%, will be in effect from Jan. 1 - Dec. 31, 2027. |

May 8 Deadline • The Maryland Department of Labor Has Launched a New Grant - Industry Apprenticeship Accelerator - to Expand Registered Apprenticeship and High School Level Registered Apprenticeship across Maryland
This funding is designed to support organizations that help employers design, launch, and scale apprenticeship programs. Industry associations, community colleges, workforce boards, apprenticeship sponsors, and nonprofit organizations should apply. Target sectors include Finance & Insurance, Healthcare, IT/Information, Professional & Technical Services, Public Administration, and Education. |

All proceeds benefit the Annual OCYP Christmas Spirit Campaign, which provides presents to underprivileged children throughout Worcester County. Teams will begin with a Round Robin-Style Pool Play to determine rankings, then advance to an Elimination Bracket to play for a chance to win cash prizes and, most importantly, bragging rights!
