Updates on FAMLI’s Regulations
Chapters 1-5 of FAMLI’s regulations are now in effect and published in the Code of Maryland Regulations. The application window for employers who wish to submit their Declaration of Intent (DOI) will be Sept. 1 - Nov. 15, 2026. The total rate of contribution is 0.9%, will be in effect from Jan. 1 - Dec. 31, 2027.

This funding is designed to support organizations that help employers design, launch, and scale apprenticeship programs. Industry associations, community colleges, workforce boards, apprenticeship sponsors, and nonprofit organizations should apply. Target sectors include Finance & Insurance, Healthcare, IT/Information, Professional & Technical Services, Public Administration, and Education.
