The Mission Forward: A Nonprofit Leadership Series is designed for nonprofit professionals at every level, from team members to executive leaders. Thanks to our generous Presenting Sponsors, Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore and United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore, lunch will be provided at no cost for the first 20 registered attendees. The July 23 topic is Volunteer Management: The Art and Science of Herding Cats.

Employers: Access Resources to Prepare for Maryland’s FAMLI Program
Payroll deductions begin January 1, 2027; benefits start January 2028. Both employers and employees will contribute to FAMLI. Employers may withhold up to half the contribution rate from employee paychecks, add their half, and remit the total to FAMLI each quarter. The MD Department of Labor has compiled resources to help employers prepare. |
